This
year, Rovellats BLANC DE BLANCS, vintage 2000, has changed its image
adopting a new, sophisticated packaging, according to the line that
identifies Rovellats' range of still wines.
The new label, similar to the Rovellats Blanc de
Maceració label but with green light hues, is representative
of a young wine with fresh and fruity characteristics. The Bordeaux
bottle has been chosen for presentation, providing a touch of elegance.
Following the criteria of obtaining the best possibilities
from our lands, more long-lived vines, with lower production, have
been selected for Blanc de Blancs, ensuring a harvest with higher
concentrations of sugars and aromas. The harvest was very good in
both qualitative and quantitative terms, with the result that corrections
in the cellar were unnecessary, offering a limited production of
exceptional quality.
Elaborated solely on the basis of first run juice,
of the Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada varieties, together with
the aromatic touch of Chardonnay, results in a blend of floral aromas
and white fruits of great freshness, harmonised with a potent, complex
and long structure in the mouth, reminiscent of the characteristics
of a Crianza wine. With a fine flavour, elegant, clean, rounded
and with balanced acidity. The colour is a clear and sparkling pale
yellow.
A perfect accompaniment for fish, seafood and subtly
flavoured dishes, excellent as an aperitif.
Limited production. Total acidity: 6.5 gr/l. Residual
sugar: 0.8 gr/l. Alcohol level: 11.5% vol. Bottles 75 cl.
