Cavas Rovellats was included in the "Industrial Tourism" itinerary of the General Directorate of Tourism, an agency of the Catalan Regional Government, and in the EEC's Dionysus Programme.


TOUR ITINERARY

A complete tour of the Rovellats istallations, a toponymic enclave since the XV century whose origins date back as far as the X century. This is a group of buildings located 5 km. from Villafranca del Penedés with architectural vestiges from these earlier periods. It is an enclosed area surrounded by modernist gardens and around which the family's vineyards are located.

 

You will see the farmhouse from the X-XV century which gave Rovellats its name; the Chapel of the Virgin of Montserrat containing a reproduction which is identical in size and shape to the original, the museum at the entrance to the caves (with collections of advertising posters of the modernist period and antique bottles), the winery where base wines are prepared and the underground caves (12 metres deep) where the wine is aged, with a radial architectural structure that is unique in our country.

The tour will be guided by one of our expert enologists and will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Following this you will be served an aperitif-buffet on the Modernist Terrace in the garden, accompanied by one of our Gran Reserva sparkling wines.

For specialised groups or those particularly interested in the subject of sparkling wines, a comparative tasting can be organised with tastintg indexes, etc. The vineyards can also be visited for a better understanding of the process.
